Bartles was first established in 1984 by Colin Bartle, selling a small range of pine furniture from its showroom in Brentgovel Street, Bury St Edmunds.
Our continued growth allowed us to stock a wider range of furniture, including the addition of oak, mahogany and ash furniture, as well as offering rugs, lighting and accessories.
One thing we are well remembered for is our highly successful local radio advertising campaign where we expanded our range to include many items except ‘pine underpants’!
June 2008 saw us move from our first home to new premises on Station Hill in Bury St Edmunds. At three times the size of our first showroom, we can now display a much wider range of furniture and accessories to our customers. We remain a truly independent and privately owned company, continuing to offer furniture and service of the highest standards.
